Portion sizes and pricing swing widely across this group, from a $10 lunch bowl to a multi-course tasting menu at an upscale sushi counter, so checking recent reviews and photos is more useful than the price range alone. In Sandy Springs, dinner reservations for popular izakaya, hot pot and Korean BBQ spots fill up on Friday and Saturday nights, so booking ahead or arriving at opening is worth it. Many restaurants across Georgia run daily lunch specials on weekdays that are not listed on the dinner menu, so it is worth asking. Halal, vegetarian and gluten-free options vary a lot by kitchen; call ahead if you have a dietary restriction rather than assuming the menu will note it.

If you know good sushi—this used to be the spot for good sushi but sadly it’s grocery store sushi now so save your money—I recently moved back to this neighborhood and wanted sushi—i previously used to come here a lot about 10 years ago—the service is amazing -but the quality in the food just isn’t the same—the sushi rice is very much the same with Kroger sushi rice —the raw rolls tasted a bit fishy and i was always taught sushi doesn’t taste fishy—the salmon skin roll is the worst but not horrible but just not it when looking for a salmon skin roll—the want for a salmon skin roll is the crispy vibe of the cooked salmon skin—when it’s tightly stuffed in a roll with pieces of cooked salmon it’s a fake for me—also 12 &69 used to be my fave but it was fishy and with subpar sushi rice—the service was amazing when ordering to go—the girl at the bar where i ordered is amazing when it comes to customer service without her —i would have rated way lower—bc she made the almost grocery store sushi (which was never my previous experience) worthwhile —likely won’t come back much bc if i can’t order online and the sushi is mid—i won’t return

Sushi excellent!... but (yes there's a BUT), shake my head to service. When we first walked in for dinner, there was a bar and no tables, where no one greeted us, no one looked at us, we just stood there for a while wondering where the dining room was. In popped the host from nowhere and we were seated. Our server took our drinks but never checked on us, no refills on tea or water. When a review contains more words about poor service than compliments on food, it's time management takes a hard look at service training. Daily stand ups, floor managers being present. What a shame when the food is so good!

Had a really great dinner at Sushi Nami in Sandy Springs GA. We were seated right away, but the dining room felt pretty full. Service was prompt and courteous. The menu had plenty of great options. We had a mix of nigiri, rolls, and a delicious spicy edamame. My friend also had sake for the first time and liked it, so that’s fun. I’d definitely go back if I’m in town again. Check it out if you like sushi.

We had an awful experience at Sushi Nami on Glenridge. To be clear, atmosphere and food were fine. Soup and appetizers arrived promptly. We had arrived early and the tables were less than half full. But then our server disappeared. After 45 minutes we asked another server for help and she said ‘We are busy- what do you want?’ My request for drink refills was answered with an eye roll and no response. After over an hour after appetizers, our sushi arrived. The check was dropped off without eye contact or a word. To be clear, the food was fine. And yes, we could still see our original server in the restaurant helping other tables. No idea what happened, it’s up to you if you want to risk it. Not worth it for my time or money. Plenty of other great options in the area

The inside is bigger than I thought, the food was amazing, very filling. The spicy mayo was super good with the calamari and the honey complimented the coconut shrimp. The waitress was very kind and attentive. The house salad with the ginger dressing was delicious and I loved the consistency of it. I highly recommend this amazing restaurant!
